Montana's Many Glacier mountain range is one of the most beautiful in the world, and particularly attractive to me are the meadows of wildflowers that grow but a short distance from them. Not being able to film inside the national park (it's not legal to film commercially within a federal park), I've decided to paint the scene using my plein-air studies and a few photographs.
In this informative landscape video, we'll cover everything from color and value, to using reference studies to create a "from-life" look in the studio! Plus the importance of using brushwork to create variety and a naturalistic look in your landscape paintings!
